I grew up in a small town in Calabria, I moved to Milan in 2005 with the mission of expanding my knowledge in the professional field.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Urbino and my postgraduate studies in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Cognitive Therapy Center in Como. I specialized in Eating Disorders at the Mondo Sole CPA Center for Nutrition Psychology. I attended a Master in Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) at the RiPsi Center for Psychology and Psychotherapy Studies. Interested in Psychotraumatology, I trained at l’ EMDR Association for the application of EMDR in cases of emotional distress for unresolved traumatic situations, specializing as a Practitioner. I obtained the ” Mindfulness Professional Training ” diploma qualifying myself as an Instructor of Mindfulness protocols. I attended the NET Specialization course ( Narrative Exposure Therapy ) organized by SISST – Italian Society for the Study of Traumatic Stress – for the short-term treatment of traumatic stress disorders.
I have been working since 2015, as a Sports Psychologist, with athletes of all levels and age groups, with the aim of making athletes aware of the importance of psychological factors. Through a group and individual Mental Training program. I am a member of the PDS-Sport Psychologists Association.
As the years go by, I realize that psychology is not something I have studied or a job I do, but psychology is who I am.
I consider myself a professional with many interests, with training and experience in a wide range of mental health issues. I have worked with people of different cultures, genders, and disabilities. I deal with the diagnosis and treatment of adult and adolescent psychopathology. I also carry out expert assessments in the civil and criminal fields, in cases of abuse and mistreatment, conflicting separations, psychological damage,
I have worked as a clinical psychologist in public and private facilities, in school and hospital settings. In recent years I have collaborated with the European Institute of Oncology IEO in Milan. I am currently in private clinical practice where I work with a multitude of mental health problems. I have spent many years doing research … I often hear people say: “Time heals all wounds”, actually, time does not heal all wounds … but active work … most of the time painful work, towards healing it heals all wounds. It takes a lot of courage to face the challenges that life presents us with. The best and most skilled of us need a person ready to guide us through the storm, help us to safer shores.
